Marilisa Granzotto

Marilisa Granzotto, Franchisee

Marilisa Granzotto and Steve Martin are a team on and off the dance floor and have been co-franchisees of the Ottawa dance studio since 1990. As a member of the World Professional Dance Teachers Association (WPDTA), Marilisa has been an active instructor, competitor and judge. However, her most rewarding role is seeing her students light up through the art of dance!

Vadim Safonov, Franchisee

Vadim Safonov started dancing at the age of 7 and has been teaching dance for more than 16 years. He has choreographed many dance routines for different styles and levels of dancing. Vadim joined Arthur Murray in Montreal in 2007 and has since successfully trained many students.

Vadim competes with his partner Alina Safonova in the Professional Latin category as well as in American Smooth, representing Canada.

He obtained his professional dance teacher diplomas from The Russian Dance Union, College of Cultural and State Pedagogical University.

His passion is to share the benefits of dancing with as many people a possible. He looks forward to sharing it with you!

Alina Safonova, Franchisee

Alina began her love of the arts as a child studying ballet, modern, ballroom dance and piano. She chose to pursue ballroom dancing. Alina loves bringing her wealth of knowledge in the other styles of dancing into ballroom.

She believes that dancing can change peoples lives in many different ways. Alina enjoys helping students to achieve their personal and dancing goals.

She graduated as choreographer from College of Arts followed by completing her degree at State Pedagogical University.

Alina is actively competing with her partner Vadim Safonov in the Professional Latin division as well as in American Smooth, representing Canada. Through many coaching lessons with World Class Instructors, she is acquiring a significant amount of technical and teaching expertise that she loves to share with her students.

She is fulfilling her dreams and is helping to make the dreams of others come true through dance.

Kaity Schertzberg, Specialist

Kaity Schertzberg can be recognized by her welcoming smile and caring disposition. She believes learning to dance is more than where to place your feet. It is an experience that benefits each person in their own special way. Ensuring each person learns to dance through achieving their personal benefits, while making it fun and easy, is her tried and true philosophy. This ballroom dancer and instructor loves to see the personal growth and happiness that dancing brings to all her students‘ lives.

Veycheslav Tudorovsky

Veycheslav Tudorovsky, Teacher

Veycheslav Tudorovsky started dancing at the age of 6 in the Ukraine, dancing competitively in International Latin and Standard Ballroom. Some of his accomplishments include: Junior Latin & Standard Champion in the Ukraine, 1st place in Amateur Latin Division Championship 2008 with World Dance Canada & a finalist in Canada and the U.S in the Professional Latin Division from 2009-2011.
Veycheslav has been teaching International Ballroom & American Smooth & Rhythm for 17 years. He has had held positions as dance director & choreographer for children and adults, and taught competitive amateur couples representing Israel & Canada. He had extensive training with some of the best coaches in the world. He specializes in choreography, technique and styling.

Sue Champagne

Sue Champagne, Administrative Assistant

Sue came to Arthur Murray as a student in 2003 to learn a few step before going on a cruise. She fell in love with dance and has been with the Ottawa studio ever since. Sue joined the Arthur Murray team in 2012, bringing with her an extensive background in customer service, administration and event coordination. Sue loves meeting and greeting people at the front desk and can’t think of a happier environment to be working in.

Cathy Geen, Bookkeeper

Cathy has been with the Arthur Murray’s Ottawa since 1997. During that time, she has had held various responsibilities, including office manager and most recently, book keeper. After time away to spend with her children, Cathy returned to the dynamic and enjoyable atmosphere of the studio. She is happy to be back and working with students. Cathy is one of the friendly and helpful voices that provide the public and students with information on dance instruction & events.
